The app

No accounts. You never sign up, so we never have your email or password. The only name we ever get is the first name you choose to enter for Friends, covered below.

Bed photos. Photos are taken inside the app, shrunk down, and saved only on your phone. To check whether the bed is made, one photo is sent to our bed checker, which returns a pass or fail result. The photo is not stored on our servers and is not used to train anything. Photos never go to your camera roll unless you share them.

Practice scan. The practice scan in onboarding is processed on the device only and is never uploaded.

Reminder and settings. Your reminder time, streak, and history live on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics and session replay, to see which screens get used, whether reminders fire, and where people get stuck. It is not used for ad tracking. Bed photos and the camera view are masked, so they are never part of it.

Support email. If you email us, we get what you send and use it only to reply to you.

Subscriptions

Bedrock is a paid subscription after a free trial. Apple handles the purchase through the App Store. We never see your card, your name, or your Apple Account. The app only learns whether a subscription is active so it can work. To manage or cancel, use your Apple Account subscription settings.

Friends

Your profile. Bedrock has no accounts. When you enter a first name in the app, we store it on our server together with a random device identifier, your current and longest streak, and the date of your last made bed. This is what your friends see next to your name.

Friend codes. You get a 6-character friend code. Anyone you give it to can add you, and you can add them. Friend connections are stored on our server.

Not shared. Your name and your friends are never sent to our analytics provider and never sold or shared with anyone else.

Delete it any time. In the app, Settings, then Delete my data removes your name, your code, your streak record, and all friend connections from our server, and your streak and photos from your phone. Deleting the app does not delete the server record. Use the button, or email support@bedrockhabit.com with your friend code.

Invite links. Invite links (bedrockhabit.com/f/your-code) contain only your friend code. If you open one without the app installed, the page may copy the code to your clipboard so the app can find your friend after you install it. Nothing else is read from your clipboard.

Kids

Bedrock is not for children under 13. If you think a child has entered a name in Friends, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
