The app

No login. Bedrock does not require an email address or password. You choose a first name for your Friends profile.

Bed photos and AI checks. With your permission, a reduced-size bed photo is sent through our Supabase backend to Anthropic's Claude API to check whether the bed is made. Our backend does not store the photo. Anthropic normally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, with limited safety or legal exceptions. See Anthropic's retention policy. Do not include people or sensitive information in your bed photos. You may decline photo sharing; real bed verification requires it.

Practice scan. The onboarding practice scan stays on your device and is never uploaded.

History and iCloud. Full photos stay on the device that took them. Bed-check records and small thumbnails can sync through your private Apple iCloud database when available. This lets history return after reinstalling or on another device. Reminder preferences remain local. Removing the app alone does not delete iCloud history or your Friends profile.

Optional usage and crash reports. Sharing is off by default. If you enable it in Settings, PostHog receives app activity, onboarding habit/source choices, subscription status, and crash diagnostics associated with an app-generated identifier. These help us understand reliability and improve Bedrock. We do not send your first name or bed photos to PostHog. Session replay is disabled. You can turn sharing off anytime to stop future reports.

Support email. If you contact support, we use the information you send to answer your request. Do not send passwords or payment details.

Subscriptions and security

Apple handles purchases and payment details. Bedrock uses signed subscription information to grant access and limit abuse. Our backend stores pseudonymous device and subscription identifiers and limited security/usage records to protect the service. Apple App Attest authenticates app requests. We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Friends

Supabase hosts your chosen first name, random app identifier, friend code, friend connections, current and longest streak, and last completed day. People who have your friend code can connect with you and see your name and streak. Friends do not see your bed photos.

Deletion. Settings, Delete my data removes your local history and photos and requests deletion of your Friends profile and connections. History deletions sync to iCloud when available. Security records may remain for fraud prevention or legal obligations. Turning off optional reports stops future collection; contact support@bedrockhabit.com for questions or requests about previously collected data. Provider retention policies apply to photos already processed.

Invite links. Invite links contain your friend code. The invite page lets a visitor copy that code and open Bedrock.

Kids

Bedrock is not for children under 13. If you think a child has entered a name in Friends, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
